Representing the electorate of Carine is both an honour and a privilege which I will always hold in high regard.Since my election in September 2008, I have been actively involved in the community dealing with issues such as:· the redevelopment of the Carine TAFE site;· unruly Homeswest tenants;· the Karrinyup Lakes Lifestyle Village;· coastal erosion at Watermans Bay;· revitalisation of the Henderson Environmental Centre;· supporting local community groups;· the bid for underground power;· hoons; and· graffiti.As a father of three, one of my main concerns is improving and maintaining community safety. We all have a right to feel safe, and I will be working hard with the Minister for Police to improve community safety throughout the electorate of Carine.Environmentally sustainable development is very important to me. About Tony

As our local Member of Parliament, Tony Krsticevic knows the value of hard work, respect and positive belief in the individual freedom to succeed. Raised in a working class family, these values were a fundamental platform of his childhood. Tony's parents came to Australia with no more than the shirts on their backs and hearts full of hopes and dreams. Since the beginning, Tony's father always said that hard and honest work will reap you the benefits of a happy and prosperous life. He also said that everything in life worth having is worth working hard for. After completing a Bachelor of Business with a major in Accounting and Computing, Tony worked for the Australian Taxation Office for over 20 years, which provided Tony with a strong professional background in business, accounting, management and strategic planning.Successful in the 6 September 2008 election, Tony proudly became the Parliamentary representative for the electorate of Carine and since that day, has actively worked in the community.Tony believes that families play a crucial role in the success of any community. Raising three children with his wife Nada, he continues to encourage them to work hard, get a good education and become actively involved in the local community. Tony's children serve as a constant reminder when he works with our Premier Colin Barnett in fighting for better local infrastructure in the electorate of Carine.Tony has always been involved in community work. Whether it is coaching the local soccer team to being a committee member on a range of groups, he enjoys thoroughly the contribution that every individual can make to their local neighbourhood.Hard work, respect and a positive attitude will lead to a strong local community. Ever since being elected as our local Member of Parliament, these goals are what drive Tony to work with our local community to make our area an even greater place to live and work. Tony will continue to work with the State Government to ensure that we tackle the problems of hoons, graffiti and other anti-social behaviour that our schools receive important funding and our beautiful parklands and environmentally-sensitive areas are protected for future generations.
