Representing the electorate of Carine is both an honour and a privilege which I will always hold in high regard.
Since my election in September 2008, I have been actively involved in the community dealing with issues such as:
· the redevelopment of the Carine TAFE site;
· unruly Homeswest tenants;
· the Karrinyup Lakes Lifestyle Village;
· coastal erosion at Watermans Bay;
· revitalization of the Henderson Environmental Centre;
· supporting local community groups;
· the bid for underground power;
· hoons; and
· graffiti.
As a father of three, one of my main concerns is improving and maintaining community safety. We all have a right to feel safe, and I will be working hard with the Minister for Police to improve community safety throughout the electorate of Carine.
Environmentally sustainable development is very important to me. I am keen to make sure that our natural environment is protected for future generations.
